I Wish You Enough

At an airport I overheard a father and daughter in their last moments together. They had announced her plane's departure and standing near the door, he said to his daughter, "I love you, I wish you enough."

She said, "Daddy, our life together has been more than enough. Your love is all I ever needed. I wish you enough, too, Daddy." They kissed good-bye and she left.

He walked over toward the window where I was seated. Standing there I could see he wanted and needed to cry. I tried not to intrude on his privacy, but he welcomed me in by asking, "Did you ever say good-bye to someone knowing it would be forever?" "Yes, I have," I replied.

Saying that brought back memories I had of expressing my love and appreciation for all my Dad had done for me. Recognizing that his days were limited, I took the time to tell him face to face how much he meant to me. So I knew what this man was experiencing.

"Forgive me for asking, but why is this a forever good-bye?" I asked.

"I am old and she lives much too far away. I have challenges ahead and the reality is, her next trip back will be for my funeral, " he said.

"When you were saying good-bye I heard you say, 'I wish you enough.' May I ask what that means?"

He began to smile. "That's a wish that has been handed down from other generations. My parents used to say it to everyone." He paused for a moment and looking up as if trying to remember it in detail, he smiled even more.

"When we said 'I wish you enough,' we were wanting the other person to have a life filled with enough good things to sustain them," he continued and then turning toward me he shared the following as if he were reciting it from memory.

"I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright. I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun more. I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive. I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life appear much bigger. I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting. I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess. I wish enough "Hello's" to get you through the final "Good-bye."

He then began to sob and walked away.

A time to Worship…

Today…Yes…Thank God for Today!!!

God… in you I have found relief…a resting place that no man can alter. As this journey of mine from time to time has given way to pain…I learn more and more to lean on you with each day. You provide the air that I breathe and you sustain each moment I lead. Even in each moment of victory or complete brokenness…I am thankful for you are my God…my soul will Forever rejoice in knowing that you will never be slack in your Promises!

Even on those days…when my faith is challenged and it amounts to a mustard seed…I remember that You are great God…make me strong in my weakness….You are amazing…Always keeping your children as only you can do!!

As the songwriter said, “I will trust in you always…” as Your Holy Word tells us…You are God alone…and you make the sun to shine! You are Beautiful and Awesome!

You are far more then any trouble…
You are far more then any victory…

You are the reason for everything that is or ever will be…through it all…I have come to know you are always GOD!

Duane "Smokey" Jackson is a Vietnam era US Navy veteran who served aboard USS Ranger CV-61. Duane has been a street vendor in New York City for the past 13 years. He witnessed firsthand the World Trade Center attack in 1993 and also the attack on September 11, 2001. On May 1, 2010 Duane reported a suspicious SUV parked in Times Square, police later discovered that the vehicle contained a bomb. He is credited with saving the lives of thousands of people. He received numerous accolades and lots of media attention for his heroic act; he also received a phone call from President Obama. The Star in the Window
During World War I, families with a son in the war would place a star in the window. A man was walking along with his grandson when his grandson asked "Why do all these homes have stars in the windows?" The grandfather explained to the son what the star symbolized.

They walked along and every time they passed a home with a star in the window the boy would smile and clap his hands together. Then the boy pointed up to the sky and pointed to a star. "Look," he said. "God must have given his son too!"

Many gave their lives for their country, but God gave his son for the world.

The Starfish Story

Once a man was walking along a beach. The sun was shining and it was a beautiful day. Off in the distance he could see a person going back and forth between the surf's edge and the beach. Back and forth this person went. As the man approached he could see that there were hundreds of starfish stranded on the sand as the result of the natural action of the tide.

The man was struck by the apparent futility of the task. There were far too many starfish. Many of them were sure to perish. As he approached, the person continued the task of picking up starfish one by one and throwing them into the surf.

As he came up to the young man he said, "You must be crazy. There are thousands of miles of beach covered with starfish. You can't possibly make a difference." The young man looked at him. He then stooped down and picked up one more starfish and threw it back into the ocean. He turned back to the man and said, "It made a difference to that one!"

God made you beautiful! And hards times will never change that...just read the Book of Ruth...her story is a story of hardship..love lost and God's love turning Everything around for her good! I know you will be more lovely, stronger, wiser, more graceful and more understanding as you flip the page to the next chapter of your life. God is Awesome like that....and God made you Beautiful :)

God will never forget you...you will see a more beautiful day. Hold on to God's loving and strong hand. Difficult times do come. However...we serve an Awesome GOD who can make a way out of no way. Trust in the Lord...just as it is said in Psalms 91...and you will more the make it through any difficult section of your life...no it may not be easy...BUT...God knows how to turn lemons into lemonade...remember He turned water into wine. There was this couple who used to go to shop in the beautiful stores. This was their 25th Wedding Anniversary. They both liked antiques and pottery, especially teacups.
One day in a beautiful fine shop, they saw this beautiful teacup. One said,"May I see that? I never have seen one quite so beautiful," and the lady handed it to him. As she handed it to him, suddenly the teacup spoke.

"You don't understand," it said, "I haven't always been a teacup. There was a time when I was red and I was clay. My master took me and rolled me and patted me over and over and I yelled out, 'Let me alone.' But he only smiled, 'Not yet.'

"Then I was placed on a spinning wheel," the teacup said, "and suddenly I was spun around and around and around and around. 'Stop it! I'm getting dizzy' I screamed. But the master only nodded and said, 'Not yet.'

"Then he put me in the oven. I'd never felt such heat! I wondered why he wanted to burn me. I yelled! I knocked at the door. I could see him through the opening and I could read his lips as he shook his head, 'Not yet.'

"Finally the door opened, he put me on the shelf and I began to cool. 'There that's better,' I said. Then he brushed me and painted me all over. The fumes were horrible. I thought I would gag. 'Stop it! Stop it!' I cried. He only nodded, 'Not yet.'

"Then suddenly he put me back into the oven, not like the first one. This was twice as hot and I knew I would suffocate. I begged. I pleaded. I screamed. I cried. All the time I could see him through the opening nodding his head, saying, ' Not Yet.'"

"Then I knew there wasn't any hope. I would never make it. I was ready to give up. But the door opened and he took me out and placed me on the shelf. One hour later, he handed me a mirror and said, 'Look at yourself,' and I did, and I said, 'That's not me, that couldn't be me, it's beautiful. I'm beautiful!'

"'I want you to remember then,' he said, 'I know it hurt to be rolled and patted, but if I just left you, you'd have dried up." " I know it made you dizzy to spin around on the wheel, but if I had stopped, you would have crumbled."

FLAG PRESENTATION

Presentation of the flag during a ceremony should be preceded by a brief talk emphasizing the importance of the occasion. Following the presentation all present should salute the flag, recite the pledge of allegiance, and sing the national anthem.

FOLDING THE FLAG

1.Two persons, facing each other, hold the flag waist high and horizontally between them.
2.The lower striped section is folded, lengthwise, over the blue field. Hold bottom to top and edges together securely.
3.Fold the flag again, lengthwise, folded edge to open edge.
4.A triangular fold is started along the length of the flag, from the end to the heading by bringing the striped corner of the folded edge to meet the open edge.
5.The outer point is turned inward parallel with the open edge, forming a second triangle.
6.Repeat the triangular folding until the entire length of the flag is folded.
7.When the flag is completely folded only the triangular blue field should be visible.
CARE OF YOUR FLAG

The life of your flag depends on your care. Dirt can cut fabrics, dull colors, and cause wear. Most outdoor flags can be washed in mild detergent and thoroughly rinsed. Indoor and parade flags should be dry-cleaned. Many dry cleaners offer free cleaning of U.S. flags during the months of June and July. Damaged flags can be repaired and utilized as long as the overall dimensions are not noticeably altered. American Legion Posts and local governments often have facilities to dispose of unserviceable flags. Store your flags in a well ventilated area away from any harsh chemicals or cleaning compounds. If your flag gets wet, never store it until it is completely dry. Wet folds cause permanent creases. Dampness ruins fabric and causes mildew. Pole care is also related to flag care. Rust and scale cause permanent stains and some metallic oxides actually eat holes in fabric.

SIZES OF FLAGS

The size of the flag is determined by the exposed height of the flagpole from which it is flying. The only consideration is for the flag to be in proper proportion to its pole. Flags which fly from angled poles on homes and those which are displayed on standing poles in offices and other indoor displays are usually either 3' x 5' or 4' x 6'. Color guards usually carry flags measuring 4' x 6'. Other recommended sizes are shown in the following table:

THE HISTORY OF THE STARS AND STRIPES

The Stars and Stripes originated as a result of a resolution adopted by the Marine Committee of the Second Continental Congress at Philadelphia on June 14, 1777. The resolution read:

"Resolved, that the flag of the United States be thirteen stripes, alternate red and white; that the union be thirteen stars, white in a blue field representing a new constellation. "

The resolution gave no instruction as to how many points the stars should have, nor how the stars should be arranged on the blue union. Consequently, some flags had stars scattered on the blue field without any specific design, some arranged the stars in rows, and some in a circle. The first Navy Stars and Stripes had the stars arranged in staggered formation in alternate rows of threes and twos on a blue field. Other Stars and Stripes flags had stars arranged in alternate rows of four, five and four. Some stars had six points while others had eight.

Strong evidence indicates that Francis Hopkinson of New Jersey, a signer of the Declaration of Independence, was responsible for the stars in the U.S. flag. At the time that the flag resolution was adopted, Hopkinson was the Chairman of the Continental Navy Board's Middle Department. Hopkinson also helped design other devices for the Government including the Great Seal of the United States. For his services, Hopkinson submitted a letter to the Continental Admiralty Board asking "whether a Quarter Cask of the public Wine will not be a proper & reasonable Reward for these Labours of Fancy and a suitable Encouragement to future Exertions of a like Nature." His request was turned down since the Congress regarded him as a public servant.

8 One day Elisha went to Shunem. And a well-to-do woman was there, who urged him to stay for a meal. So whenever he came by, he stopped there to eat. 9 She said to her husband, “I know that this man who often comes our way is a holy man of God. 10 Let’s make a small room on the roof and put in it a bed and a table, a chair and a lamp for him. Then he can stay there whenever he comes to us.”

To Trust You More.....

If I am honest today I took my lunch break and I sat in Union Station an thought of all the issues and circumstances I see in the natural and I began to pour my heart out to God on how I felt and how I needed him to help me in Jesus name to make it through and to continue to trust him more. From this hour I received these words below. I hope they minister to you in Jesus name the way they helped me to stand a little while longer and to trust him more. I love you and pray the blessings of the Lord upon each and every reader. Be encouraged and continue to stand and when you have done all you can Continue to stand.

And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever. Exodus 14:13

Everyday we arise is another opportunity to accomplish goals, dreams and aspirations. Remember to seek God in all that you do so you won't go before time and you won't miss time. Timing is key and very important. If you take a look at Ecclesiastes 3 you will see how it talks about timing and how seasons play a roll in what occurs. A season consists of a three month cycle (90 days). Use each season wisely for it will determine the next level of destiny you will enter. Don’t miss your season that will lead you into greatness.

Last night my big sister and I attended an awesome service here in Washington, DC. The messenger of the hour was God sent and well known over the world. This man of God delivered a word that was life changing from II Kings 6:1-7 (NKJV). I though it would be good to give the scripture before I share the nuggets that we received.

The Floating Ax Head

1 And the sons of the prophets said to Elisha, “See now, the place where we dwell with you is too small for us. 2 Please, let us go to the Jordan, and let every man take a beam from there, and let us make there a place where we may dwell.” So he answered, “Go.” 3 Then one said, “Please consent to go with your servants.” And he answered, “I will go.” 4 So he went with them. And when they came to the Jordan, they cut down trees. 5 But as one was cutting down a tree, the iron ax head fell into the water; and he cried out and said, “Alas, master! For it was borrowed.” 6 So the man of God said, “Where did it fall?” And he showed him the place. So he cut off a stick, and threw it in there; and he made the iron float. 7 Therefore he said, “Pick it up for yourself.” So he reached out his hand and took it.

A few nuggets that we received from the scripture last night were as follows:

You must be honest with yourself and recognize the place your in is too small (this pertains to every area of your life). We must learn that we have a heritage in Christ Jesus and that we are worthy and that we do deserve all that has been predestined for our lives and the lives attached to us.

We must seek and work to enlarge our territories…. (You may ask how?) By doing our part… being in the right place at the right time, spending time with God and listening to the instructions he gives.

We must want to go to destiny (that expected place that was predestined for us to be).

When we have arrived to the place we belong, God will confirm it within us.
Upon our arrival to the place we will have to make some adjustments to make things conducive for our selves.

Once you are ready to conqueror and posse what belongs to us we must remember not to go with anything that does not belong to us for it can become a hindrance along the way.

We have to Love God, because he sees all and knows all… so he makes away to help us out of minor set backs by sending someone to say something or do something to push or remind us to walk in the right direction to obtain the full promise. These people that help us get back into line and realize we have God given authority and all we have to do is apply the Word of God by speaking and believing the Word of God.

Once we have arrived to the place we believe then the weight/authority of our words will help shift atmospheres to fall into the plan that has been pre-destine for our lives, which in turn make us use our hands and abilities to obtain the Promise that has been given to us.

Our FAITH and MIND SET(s)… is KEY TO THE MAIN goal which is MANIFESTATION of DESTINY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Final nugget…. YOU are the KID of the KING of KINGS and LORD of LORDS… WALK in CONFIDENCE and in LOVE.

Reason, Season, Lifetime

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.

When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed.

They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support,

to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually.

They may seem like a godsend and they are.

They are there for the reason you need them to be.

Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time,

This person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.

Sometimes they die.

Sometimes they walk away.

Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.

What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done.

The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn.

They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.

They may teach you something you have never done.

They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.

Believe it, it is real. But only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons,

Things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation.

Your job is to accept the lesson.

Love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life.

It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

Guest Blog: Military Members and Asbestos: A Deadly Combination.

As we imagine the dangers faced by the men and women who are part of the U.S. Armed Forces – past and present – we picture gun-slinging enemies, torpedoes, roadside bombs, and any number of other very apparent perils these dedicated individuals encounter on a regular basis. But, for decades, those who serve in the military – both during times of peace and times of war – have faced another less-apparent danger, that which is posed by the use of asbestos.

During World War II, asbestos use was at its peak. Because it was inexpensive and recognized as an excellent insulator, it was used liberally aboard the ships that were built for that war and others that followed. Anyone who worked in the nation’s shipyards or aboard these vessels was subject to asbestos exposure, which can lead to severe scarring of the lungs or mesothelioma, a cancer that can remain latent in the body for decades and finally surface when it has reached a late stage. As a result of this exposure, U.S. navy veterans have the highest rate of mesothelioma among all those diagnosed with the disease.

These days, those fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan face a similar hazard as they fight among old, crumpled buildings that were probably built using asbestos materials. Countries in the Middle East still make rampant use of asbestos in construction and chances are that our military men and women have been exposed to toxic asbestos dust and may not even realize the dangers.

Mesothelioma is a serious form of cancer that can become quite debilitating quickly. It attacks the area around the lungs, causing severe chest pain, shortness of breath, coughing, pleural effusions (fluid in the lungs), and fatigue. Conventional treatments are rarely successful though programs like the Sloan Kettering mesothelioma program in New York City and others at major cancer centers nationwide continue to strive to find new and better treatments for the disease.

In the meantime, those stricken with the disease need constant care. In some cases, family members take on the task. It is at this time that caregivers need help from caring friends including members of their church. Church friends can provide not only physical assistance by offering to aid the caregiver with everyday tasks but can also provide spiritual counseling and support at a time when death of a loved one is imminent.

A time to Worship…

Today…Yes…Thank God for Today!!!

God… in you I have found relief…a resting place that no man can alter. As this journey of mine from time to time has given way to pain…I learn more and more to lean on you with each day. You provide the air that I breathe and you sustain each moment I lead. Even in each moment of victory or complete brokenness…I am thankful for you are my God…my soul will Forever rejoice in knowing that you will never be slack in your Promises!

Even on those days…when my faith is challenged and it amounts to a mustard seed…I remember that You are great God…make me strong in my weakness….You are amazing…Always keeping your children as only you can do!!

As the songwriter said, “I will trust in you always…” as Your Holy Word tells us…You are God alone…and you make the sun to shine! You are Beautiful and Awesome!

You are far more then any trouble…
You are far more then any victory…

You are the reason for everything that is or ever will be…through it all…I have come to know you are always GOD!

Hello My Friend!

I hope this blog finds you feeling blessed and smiling with hope! As we all know there is a hope that will never disappoint you! How many of you were blessed this week with a very special ram in the bush! I know I was...when you have faith no matter how small or how weak you are...God's strength will keep you!

We all know that life is filled with so many changes...some good some not so good. The most important thing is that we each remember...there is always a teachable moment! So...let's dedicate ourselves to looking for that special moment that causes us to learn as me face all that life has to offer us.

Hello All,

Rise and Shine Ladies!!! I love the sound of those words…it reminds me of being a kid! It was with those words my Mother kissed each of us good morning. Now that I am an adult…I completely understand what Momma was always saying to me. She was telling me to get up each day and give this life the very best that I have to give. What good is it to see the blessings of a new day without hope and joy!

Honestly, I am not trying to sale you a pipe dream of perfections! :-)I have lived long enough to know that perfection will never exist in people… but that is OK…since true beauty is often found in imperfect things and people. I am however reminding you that your best will make a difference everyday to someone other then you. That beautiful smile that you hide from time to time can bring joy to a brokenhearted friend also coping with the dry desert of deployment. Your sweet hello makes a difference to the teachers at your kid’s school. By the end of the day you will also fill more hopeful and joyful…sharing goodness has a way of staying with you even when you give it away so freely.

From time to time that awesome spirit of paying it forward comes back to you when you haven’t got a clue! For me it was earlier in the week… when I was putting my little ladybug princess to sleep. Each night we pray together (I am teaching her to say them without my help)…on this night I ask Bobbie to say her prayers without my help. I stood at the doorway listening to her and my soul jumped for joy…because she did it with a sweet and hopeful heart. After leaving the room my heart rejoiced…because Bobbie’s prayer was joyful and selfless.

When Bobbie came to live with us...I thought we were going to be a blessing to her…now I know that she came into this home with the most beautiful gift. She has reminded me to Rise and Shine! No matter what is going on in your life…something good is always around the corner. Right now may not be your happiest moment. That is ok…just remember you still have something good and worthy of sharing with others.

A Word of Thanks…

Thank you is a very sweet thing to say…especially when you truly mean it. Before bringing 2010 in I had major surgery. Throughout this process…to my happiness…there were several military wives who stepped in to encourage me along my way. Whether it was an awesome nurse…who spent extra time in my room to make sure all was well with me. Telling me about the wonderful time she and her husband had enjoying their military life before his retirement. Or those great friends who called and sent several email notes of encouragement and prayers. You ladies are amazing…I appreciate your spirit so much.

Many people forget all about you when you leave the hospital. The healing process truly starts when you leave the hospital...for many of us it last for many months following our surgery. I am so thankful that my friends and family are different.

No matter what the future holds…I am so blessed to know such an awesome group of women known as “Military Wives”!!! With each opportunity that comes your way you are making a difference in the lives of so many other wives. Your beauty is infinite and your kindness is second to none. If you ever wonder if the simple things you do make a difference…I want you to have peace in knowing you are someone’s pretty rainbow.

Hello my friends,

I know I have been away for some time…and I am thankful to be back. I have been going through a lot…nevertheless our God is Awesome. Recently…I had unexpected and urgent surgery. I am thankful for everyone who has and continues to pray for me…words will never be able to express my gratitude!
With that being said I need to get some rest…but before I go I want to share this beautiful word from the bible…

A gift from God...

Hello my friends!!!

I am sure each of us has a testimony of a special gift that only God could grant. Each morning when we rise we are each given the gift of "LIFE"! There are those who have been challenged in their health…for such individuals a healing in their body is most certainly a gift from God! To the woman who has yet to have a baby…those sweet and precious words “I am pregnant!!!” are such an awesome gift from God! To the soldier on the battlefield…living to see a new sunrise is such a miracle!

Everywhere we look there is something beautiful and connected to our Lord taking place…like the cool breeze we feel on a hot summer day…maybe it was that car ahead of you at the tow booth paying your fare…it could have been something as intimate as God stepping in and healing that covenant relationship your praying about…whatever it is packaged in every good and perfect gift comes from God in heaven above!

Please see the below scriptures and always remember there is always a word for your situation!!!

Hello Everyone,

I hope this blog finds everyone happy, health and filled with the love of GOD!!! These days it appears that many of us are facing so many situations that we never thought we would. Take courage in knowing that we serve an Awesome God who cares about each situation that we face. This past Sunday I had the opportunity to hear a family member preach...and it was Awesome!!!! Her word was about "Faith" she spoke about one of my favorite bible chapters "Hebrews 11"!!! She spoke about the importance of grabbing a hold on your faith!!! Yes... my friend we all most do this...your Faith is your connection to the Lord! Always remember that.....It is going to take Faith!!! In this season we are being called to walk in the purest form of Love. Remember no matter how others treat you…. You are required to walk in Love. See the scripture below and allow it to saturate within your being so you can always be in the perfect will of God; for its LOVE that covers a multitude of sins; not a title, not pride, not emotions, not your feelings, but LOVE. Always go back to your first love who gave his son at Calvary that you might be Free!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE IS THE KEY TO EVERYTHING…… Don’t leave home without it, nor walk away from it; it’s your life line, your source of strength.

What is it?

Has the Body of Christ stepped away from the true vision that was laid before the foundation of the earth?

Is kingdom… the best shout, the best wave or the best hat or suite?

Is Kingdom… Religion, tradition or the long stereo typical statements that we know as cliché’s?
What is true Kingdom?

True kingdom is laying your will to the side and picking up your Fathers (God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit's) WILL

Those with the vision of kingdom are ready to lay there lives down that destiny and purpose are fulfilled.

Those who have kingdom in their hearts, on their minds and deep down within their souls they function without thinking of the sacrifice

Kingdom… calls for truth, love, tenderness and the ability to lay down the things that aren't easy to release.

Real Kingdom… is standing in your place to make effective change in the surrounding atmosphere

Kingdom… is making sure people are saved, set free, healed and delivered from the enemy of there soul (Satan and his cohorst)

Kingdom…. is important to the lives of those who are seeking to be who God has called or said they are to be

Kingdom… is when you have the ability to walk in the fullness and release the things that would hinder your life, destiny and purpose.

Kingdom is calling….. “please answer so the chains can be broken, bondages can be removed and things can be made new”

In this hour Kingdom is being required; stand in your rightful place

Kingdom… Get ready it’s here walk in it and fulfill the call that’s assigned to you.

But......most important Hannah had a Marvelous God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello All,

God is so AWESOME…He is so gracious and merciful to all of His children. Often on this blog we talk about subjects surrounded with the power of prayer…praise of course…and the importance of worship. Today, I had the opportunity to read 1 Samuel 1 and 1 Samuel 2! These two chapters carry so much meaning for me!! I hope and pray that you are blessed in the same way as you see potions of the 1st chapter of 1 Samuel and 1 Samuel 2. Below you will find a list of some of the key points that the below readings bring to mind for me! I am sure you will have your own thoughts…feel free to share your thoughts below. As always be respectful to everyone and most important honor the Word of God!

1 Samuel 1 (Amplified Bible)
13Hannah was speaking in her heart; only her lips moved but her voice was not heard. So Eli thought she was drunk.
14Eli said to her, How long will you be intoxicated? Put wine away from you.
15But Hannah answered, No, my lord, I am a woman of a sorrowful spirit. I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink, but I was pouring out my soul before the Lord.(A)
16Regard not your handmaid as a wicked woman; for out of my great complaint and bitter provocation I have been speaking.
17Then Eli said, Go in peace, and may the God of Israel grant your petition which you have asked of Him.

Have you ever wondered why people react the way they do? Why they only have negative things to say?

I have come to find that individuals that only see negative things have lost a key factor that is important to have a productive life. This key factor is HOPE! Webster’s defines "Hope" as having the ability to cherish a desire with anticipation; to expect with confidence. If an individual has not been exposed to hope they normally aren’t able to offer the results which come with hope… joy, happiness, peace, love, long suffering (Gal.5 the fruit of the spirit). The word of God states in Proverbs 13:12 Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life. (This verse is saying until you renew or change your mind you will be unable to see the truth or positively affect anyone or anything. Once the change in thought and surroundings occur hope will be able to operate; it’s like the faith the size of a mustard seed. As you continue to cultivate the seed the more growth you will see manifest.

Once you receive Hope your able to achieve dreams, goals and ambitions that we desire. When individuals lack hope they are unable to process things that offer joy, happiness, a sense of accomplishment. Within the word you don't find hope a lot but its parallel to the word Faith. In Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Which means it takes some effort on our parts to help develop this attribute within our own lives.

I found that people can only offer you what they have experienced in life. If they have only known sorrow and poverty then that’s all they can offer until they come to a place of renewing their minds so they can be exposed to the good life that God wants us to have here and in heaven. When you renew your mind your thought process changes, your actions shift from the old way of thinking to new thoughts, new sight and visions that you have been predestined for you. According to the word of God Romans 12:2 says And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

In this hour God is calling for us to operate and function in helping with changing the way people think, the way they function and how they see life. You may ask how by living the word of God and showing the one thing that people don’t see often LOVE in his purest form.
